British Standard

Well... loads has happened for the band since the last web update... British Standard now have the 4 new
tracks back from mixing and mastering... click on the ipod at the bottom to listen to new songs 'Whisper',
'Writers Journal', 'Red Alert' and 'Never Talk'. The band would like to that Ed Vans at Vans Studios in
Clacton for the aweseome job he has done on the tunes.... nice one Ed..... :)

After Smashing up the Art Centre in Oct the band took to the Stage at the Essex uni and here's what a
reviewer had to say about the band:
"British Standard
Last on the bill were cheeky Essex boys British Standard they had a great sound great energy and they
aren't bad to look at either. The first part of the set had the familiar sound of Pearl Jam and Kings of Leon
but as the set progressed they pulled away from it and rocked it up making a sound that was heavier but
more unique and individual. In between songs Vocalist Mat amused the crowd with banter, his voice has an
authentic raspy rocked up sound to it, delivering the songs with conviction and passion this band have it all,
the song 'This has Been Done Before' definitely stood out. The band have a great on stage chemistry and
even a technical problem with one of the guitars didn't phase them. This band definitely has what it takes to
really go the distance and is a must see!"
